O'Fallon Founder's Day Fun

Took a little trip back in time to the 19th Century today and attended O'Fallon, MO's Founder's Day. The girls (and Jeff) all had fun playing games, feeding ducks, and rolling down hills. We learned all sorts of cool stuff today: how to make a quilt, how to milk a cow (not a real one thank God), that Nikki is allergic to grass, and that, amazingly enough, ducks do not like jalepeno popper flavored cheesy poofs.

Here's Nikki having a try at using a flint and a rock to start a fire. Not as easy as she thought.

Alyssa taking a lick at it:

Milkin' ole Betsy:

There was even a story teller dressed in authentic "mountain man" garb who told us an old Indian tale about a Raccoon & a Crawfish and a story about Old Daniel Boone and his last hunt.

The girls had a great time and I finally got a little sun. Glad we chose to venture out today and enjoy the weather.
